Excursions to the Similan Islands from Phuket
In the fairy-tale world of the Similan Archipelago, there is everything to win the hearts of tourists: exciting snorkeling, scuba diving among corals, white sandy beaches, and relaxing by the shore with giant turtles. The Similan Islands are considered the jewel of the Indian Ocean. UNESCO has recognized them as the most beautiful place on the planet. If you decide to relax on the Similan Islands, you can bask on the white sand, snorkel, and enjoy a delicious lunch. Several programs are available for those who wish to witness the stunning landscapes of this paradise firsthand.
PROGRAM 1: “STANDARD SARASIN”

- From 06:00 Hotel transfer to the departure point.
- *This Similan Islands trip starts from a private pier, inaccessible to other groups.
- Check-in at Sarasin Pier. Light breakfast, soft drinks and hot beverages — everything you need before an exciting journey.
- Meet your guide, board the boat, and receive a safety briefing.
- Departure by speedboat towards the archipelago.
- Visit to Island No. 9. The truly paradise-like Koh Ba Ngu is perfect for snorkeling among coral reefs in the scenic Nam Chai Bay. This is your first snorkeling stop (approximately 30–40 minutes).
- Arrival at Donald Duck Bay (Island No. 8). Here you will have the opportunity to hike up to the famous Sail Rock viewpoint. A must-visit location in Thailand’s Similan Islands for breathtaking views, unique photos, and relaxing on a white sandy beach.
- Lunch with Thai delicacies and exotic fruits by the beach.
- Second snorkeling session “Finding Nemo”. Here you may spot sea turtles and clownfish. The picturesque Payu Island (Island No. 7) is ideal for underwater exploration.
- Visit to Koh Miang (Island No. 4). Enjoy the island’s exotic beauty and relax at the “Princess Beach”.
- Departure back to the pier.
- 16:30–17:00 Arrival at the pier. Light refreshments before return transfer.
- 18:00–18:30 Return to hotels.

PROGRAM 2:
“EARLY DEPARTURE, SARASIN”

- 04:00 – 05:00 Tour begins with hotel pick-up (see “Transfer” section below for details).
- 05:30 Meet the guide, breakfast, briefing.
- 06:00 Departure towards the Similan archipelago.
- 07:45 Arrival at Miang Island (No. 4). A secluded tropical paradise awaits: soft white coral sand, crystal-clear water, and very few tourists at this early hour. The atmosphere is calm and almost private. Free time to relax on one of two scenic beaches connected by a shaded jungle path. Along the way, you may spot local wildlife, including flying foxes often seen among the trees.
- 10:15 Scenic cruise past Koh Payu (No. 7) and Koh Ba Ngu (No. 9). The route passes along picturesque cliffs and tropical shores, offering panoramic views of the Similan Islands. Then — a snorkeling stop in open water. This area features rich marine life, coral reefs, and excellent visibility. With some luck, you may encounter sea turtles.
- 11:30 Island No. 8. Lunch (lunch box) will be served on the beach, which you can enjoy in the shade of tropical vegetation. Afterward — free time for relaxation and exploration. Those interested can hike up to the famous Sail Rock viewpoint, offering breathtaking views of emerald waters, granite boulders, and endless ocean horizons.
- 14:00 Departure back to Phuket. Enjoy a relaxing return journey with light snacks and refreshing drinks on board.
- 16:00–16:30 Arrival at the pier. Dinner.
- 17:00 End of the day and return with lasting impressions: serene atmosphere, secluded beaches, and the natural harmony of the Similan Islands.

Program:
- 08:00 The guide meets you at the "Sea-Star" pier (Thap Lamu). Here, you will be provided with snorkeling equipment. Time for a light breakfast – just what you need before an exciting journey.
- 09:00 Departure towards the Similan archipelago on a speedboat.
- 10:50 Arrival at Islands No. 5 and No. 8. This is the first snorkeling spot.
- 11:40 Relaxing on Miang Island. You will enjoy the breathtaking beauty of "Princess Beach."
- 12:00 Delicious lunch with Thai delicacies.
- 13:00 Visit to Island No. 9. The magnificent Ba Ngu Island is perfect for snorkeling. The Namchai Bay, full of coral reefs, is a fantastic underwater world waiting to be explored.
- 14:15 Climb to the rock and visit the viewpoint on Koh Similan. Here, you can relax and take amazing photos.
- 15:30 Departure from the Similan archipelago and return to Phuket.
- 16:50 Upon arrival at the pier, you will be treated to a delicious dinner and drinks.
There is also an option with departure from hotels 1.5 hours later and return 1.5 hours later as well. The price remains the same.
PROGRAM 6: Similan Islands 2 Days / 1 Night

DAY 1:
- 08:30 Meeting at the private SeaStar pier in Thap Lamu. Registration and selection of equipment. Light breakfast, tea, and coffee available.
- 09:00 Boarding the speedboat and departing from the pier into the Andaman Sea.
- 10:20 Arrival at the Similan Islands, snorkeling around islands No. 5 and 6 or relaxing on the beach of island No. 4.
- 12:00 Enjoy a delicious lunch and relax on the beach of island No. 4.
- 13:30 Check-in on board MV Koon 1, meet your guide or diving instructor (for divers).
- 15:30 First dive, island No. 7 (East of Eden or Deep Six).
- 16:30 Return to the boat, light snack.
- 18:30 Second dive, night dive around island No. 8 or 9 (Namchai Bay).
- 19:30 Relaxation on board and enjoying a "Kungkata" BBQ-style dinner.
DAY 2:
- 07:00 Wake up.
- 07:30 Third dive (island No. 9, Breakfast Bend, Three Trees, or Christmas Point).
- 08:30 Return to the boat for a "Dim Sum" breakfast.
- 10:30 Fourth dive around islands 4, 5, and 6 (Honeymoon Bay or Zodiac Row).
- 11:30 Seafood lunch onboard MV Koon 1 before disembarking and transferring back to the speedboat.
- 13:00 Departure by speedboat to island No. 8. An additional snorkeling stop may be available on the way.
- 14:00 Relaxing on the beautiful beach of island No. 8 or climbing the Sail Rock viewpoint for breathtaking panoramic views.
- 15:30 Departure from the Similan Islands.
- 16:50 Arrival back at SeaStar pier. A variety of drinks and snacks, including som tam, fried chicken, and ice cream, will be available. Transfer back to your hotel.
