Excursions to the Similan Islands from Phuket
In the fairy-tale world of the Similan Archipelago, there is everything to win the hearts of tourists: exciting snorkeling, scuba diving among corals, white sandy beaches, and relaxing by the shore with giant turtles. The Similan Islands are considered the jewel of the Indian Ocean. UNESCO has recognized them as the most beautiful place on the planet. If you decide to relax on the Similan Islands, you can bask on the white sand, snorkel, and enjoy a delicious lunch. Several programs are available for those who wish to witness the stunning landscapes of this paradise firsthand.
PROGRAM 1: “STANDARD SARASIN”

- 05:30 – 07:30 The trip to the Similan Islands from Phuket begins from a private pier, inaccessible to other groups. A transfer from the hotel to the departure point is organized.
- 08:00 Registration at Sarasin Pier. Light breakfast. Fresh fruit juice, a delicious sandwich, and hot beverages of your choice – just what you need before an exciting journey.
- 08:45 Meeting with the guide, boarding the boat, and a safety briefing.
- 09:00 Departure of the speedboat towards the archipelago.
- 10:15-10:30 Arrival at Donald Duck Bay (Island No. 8). Here you will have the opportunity to hike up to the famous Sailing Rock. Visiting the Similan Islands in Thailand means witnessing stunning landscapes, taking unique photos, and relaxing on white sandy beaches.
- 11:15 Visit to Island No. 9. The truly paradisiacal spot of Koh Ba Ngu is ideal for snorkeling among corals in the picturesque Nam-Chai Bay. This is the first stop where you can experience snorkeling among coral reefs.
- 12:15 Lunch with Thai delicacies and exotic fruits by the white sandy beach.
- 13:00 Visit to Koh Miang (Island No. 4). Here you can enjoy the island’s exotic aesthetics and relax on Princess Beach.
- 14:00 Second snorkeling session “Finding Nemo.” Here, you will see sea turtles and clownfish (sometimes called Nemo). The picturesque island of Payu (Island No. 7 of the archipelago) is perfect for underwater adventures.
- 15:15 Departure towards Phang Nga Pier.
- 16:30 – 17:30 Arrival at the pier. Return to the hotel.

11:30 Refreshments with soft drinks, fresh fruit, and snacks on the boat. Snorkeling at Koh Pao (Island No. 7), exploring the underwater world where you may see a sea turtle. Discover an untouched beach or Princess Beach at Koh Miang (Island No. 4), enjoy a delicious Thai lunch. You can snorkel or relax on the beach.
14:30 Return from the Similan Islands to Sarasin Pier.
16:00 Arrival at Sarasin Pier. Enjoy the view of the bridge connecting Phuket and Phang Nga. Return to the hotel.

This tour is perfect for those who are not afraid of an early wake-up call. It’s a great opportunity to reach the Similan Islands before anyone else. The speedboat departs from Sarasin Pier, the northernmost point of Phuket, about an hour away by bus. The first excursion point can be reached within 1.5 hours by sea.
- 03:30 - 05:00 The tour starts with hotel pick-up.
- 05:30 Meeting with the guide, breakfast, and briefing.
- 06:00 Departure towards the Similan Archipelago.
- 07:30 Arrival at the Similan Islands. Donald Duck Bay, Island No. 8 – snorkeling and a wonderful beach experience. You can hike to the viewpoint at Sailing Rock. Next, snorkeling at Koh Ba Ngu (Island No. 9).
- 09:30 Refreshments on board. Snorkeling at Koh Payo (Island No. 7), visiting Princess Beach on Koh Miang (Island No. 4). A delicious lunch follows, then free time for snorkeling or beach relaxation.
- 14:00 Return to Phuket.
- 16:00–16:30 Arrival at Sarasin Pier.
- 17:00 Return to hotels.

- 09:00 Departure towards the Similan archipelago on a speedboat.
- 10:50 Arrival at Islands No. 5 and No. 8. This is the first snorkeling spot.
- 11:40 Relaxing on Miang Island. You will enjoy the breathtaking beauty of "Princess Beach."
- 12:00 Delicious lunch with Thai delicacies.
- 13:00 Visit to Island No. 9. The magnificent Ba Ngu Island is perfect for snorkeling. The Namchai Bay, full of coral reefs, is a fantastic underwater world waiting to be explored.
- 14:15 Climb to the rock and visit the viewpoint on Koh Similan. Here, you can relax and take amazing photos.
- 15:30 Departure from the Similan archipelago and return to Phuket.

DAY 1:
- 08:30 Meeting at the private SeaStar pier in Thap Lamu. Registration and selection of equipment. Light breakfast, tea, and coffee available.
- 09:00 Boarding the speedboat and departing from the pier into the Andaman Sea.
- 10:20 Arrival at the Similan Islands, snorkeling around islands No. 5 and 6 or relaxing on the beach of island No. 4.
- 12:00 Enjoy a delicious lunch and relax on the beach of island No. 4.
- 13:30 Check-in on board MV Koon 1, meet your guide or diving instructor (for divers).
- 15:30 First dive, island No. 7 (East of Eden or Deep Six).
- 16:30 Return to the boat, light snack.
- 18:30 Second dive, night dive around island No. 8 or 9 (Namchai Bay).
- 19:30 Relaxation on board and enjoying a "Kungkata" BBQ-style dinner.
DAY 2:
- 07:00 Wake up.
- 07:30 Third dive (island No. 9, Breakfast Bend, Three Trees, or Christmas Point).
- 08:30 Return to the boat for a "Dim Sum" breakfast.
- 10:30 Fourth dive around islands 4, 5, and 6 (Honeymoon Bay or Zodiac Row).
- 11:30 Seafood lunch onboard MV Koon 1 before disembarking and transferring back to the speedboat.
- 13:00 Departure by speedboat to island No. 8. An additional snorkeling stop may be available on the way.
- 14:00 Relaxing on the beautiful beach of island No. 8 or climbing the Sail Rock viewpoint for breathtaking panoramic views.
- 15:30 Departure from the Similan Islands.
- 16:50 Arrival back at SeaStar pier. A variety of drinks and snacks, including som tam, fried chicken, and ice cream, will be available. Transfer back to your hotel.
