PHUKET ELEPHANT SANCTUARY VILLAGE
The story of the first sanctuary began in 2014, when three elephants trapped by poachers were rescued. Over the years, the project has become a true symbol of animal care, and today the sanctuary operates in Chiang Mai, Phuket, Pattaya, and Samui.
The main mission of the sanctuary is to provide rescued elephants with a free and natural life, giving them the care and love they deserve after suffering caused by humans. Another important goal is to raise awareness about this serious issue.
A visit to the sanctuary means genuine interaction with these noble animals, without elephant riding or entertainment shows. The park is designed in strict accordance with high European animal welfare standards. Elephants that have suffered from mistreatment and cruelty find safety and care here. There are no chains or hooks — the sanctuary focuses on restoring both the physical and emotional well-being of these remarkable creatures. All programs are dedicated entirely to ethical elephant interaction, with no riding activities involved.
